Appears in 1841 Census as John Disborough, an 11-year-old living in
Whaddon (possibly South Street) with his mother, Florrie, and two brothers,
William, 18 and Stephen, 16.
In 1861 the census shows John Desbro'. aged 31, living with his
68-year-old widowed mother, Flower Desbro', at 6 Bridge Street, Whaddon.
In 1871 the census shows John Disbery, aged 41, living at
70 Bridge Street, Whaddon, with the family of William Disbery, aged
48 (presumably John's brother). At that time John was an
agricultural labourer.
